These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the website at www.gufficktuition.com and the tutoring services provided by Guffick Tuition, operated by Lee Guffick (‘we’, ‘us’, or ‘our’). By booking a session, enrolling in a group programme, or otherwise engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

1. Our Services

Guffick Tuition provides specialist mathematics tutoring services for secondary school and A-Level students, including:

Structured group classes (currently Year 12 A-Level Maths, held Monday and Thursday at 8pm)
Personalised one-to-one (1:1) tutoring sessions
Free introductory resources including downloadable guides

All sessions are delivered online via video conferencing. Session schedules, group sizes, and pricing are as described on our website or communicated directly to you at the time of booking.

2. Bookings and Enrolment

Bookings can be made by contacting us via WhatsApp, completing an enquiry form on our website, or booking a free introductory call. Enrolment in a group programme is confirmed once we have received your first payment.

Group class places are limited to a maximum of 10 students to ensure individual attention. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no formal assessment or application process. Students may join at any scheduled start point, subject to availability.

3. Fees and Payment

3.1 Group Programme

The current fee for the Year 12 structured group programme is £110 per week, which covers both weekly sessions. This fee is subject to change and you will be notified in advance of any changes.

3.2 1:1 Sessions

Fees for personalised one-to-one tutoring are provided on request and set out at the time of booking.

3.3 Payment Terms

Fees are payable in advance on a weekly or agreed basis
There are no sign-up fees or long-term contract commitments
Payment methods accepted are as communicated at the time of booking
Failure to pay fees when due may result in suspension of sessions

4. Cancellation and Refunds

4.1 Cancellation by You

You may cancel your enrolment or discontinue sessions at any time. As there are no long-term contracts, no notice period is required beyond the current billing period. Fees already paid for sessions in a current week are generally non-refundable unless agreed otherwise in writing.

4.2 Missed Sessions

If your child misses a scheduled group session, a catch-up recording or summary may be provided at our discretion. We are not obligated to provide replacement sessions for student absences.

4.3 Cancellation by Us

In the rare event that we need to cancel a session, we will provide as much notice as possible and will reschedule or provide a proportionate credit. We are not liable for cancellations caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control (see Section 10).

5. Conduct and Expectations

We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment. We ask that all students and parents:

Treat the tutor and other students with respect
Arrive punctually for scheduled sessions
Complete any recommended work between sessions
Use sessions for their intended educational purpose

We reserve the right to remove a student from the programme, without refund, in cases of persistent disruptive or inappropriate behaviour.

6. Technology Requirements

Students are required to have access to a device capable of running the video conferencing software used for sessions (a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer is recommended) and a stable internet connection. We are not responsible for technical difficulties on the student’s side that result in missed or disrupted sessions. Students experiencing technical issues should notify us as soon as possible.

7. Safeguarding

Lee Guffick is fully DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked. We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of all students. All sessions are conducted via video conferencing. For 1:1 sessions with under-18s, we recommend that a parent or guardian is present in the home during the session.

We reserve the right to end a session immediately and report concerns to the relevant authorities in any situation where a student’s safety or welfare appears to be at risk.

8. Intellectual Property

All materials, resources, guides, lesson plans, and content provided by Guffick Tuition are the intellectual property of Lee Guffick and are provided for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, share, sell, or otherwise use our materials for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

While we are committed to delivering high-quality tutoring and helping students achieve their potential, we cannot guarantee specific academic outcomes or examination results. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Guffick Tuition shall not be liable for:

Any failure to achieve specific grades or results
Any indirect, consequential, or special loss arising from the use of our services
Any loss caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 12 weeks preceding the relevant claim. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be lawfully excluded.

10. Force Majeure

We shall not be in breach of these Terms or liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations if such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to illness, bereavement, power outages, internet failure, or other events outside our control.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
