Yes. The group is structured to build understanding from the foundations up. Students at different levels benefit because the teaching is thorough, not rushed. I also monitor everyone’s progress individually and will let you know if I think your child would benefit from additional 1:1 support.

A laptop or tablet with a webcam and microphone, and a reliable internet connection. All sessions are live on Zoom. 

It happens. All sessions are recorded, so your child can rewatch and revise. 

Progress is monitored continuously and reported formally. Within sessions, your child works through carefully chosen problems and past-paper questions where I can see immediately how they're thinking — any drift gets caught early, not at the end of term. At each half-term you'll receive a written summative report covering current performance, areas of strength, areas needing attention, and concrete next steps. As exams approach, I set targeted between-session work to consolidate the areas needing most attention. If anything significant flags up between reports, I will contact you directly. The small group cap of 10 is what makes this kind of attention possible.

No. There are no contracts and no sign-up fees. You pay weekly and can stop at any time. Most students stay because they want to, not because they're locked in.

The two formats do different jobs. The group programme delivers structured, curriculum-aligned teaching twice a week at £110 per week (£55 per session) — considerably less than the £80–£150 per hour typical for one-to-one tuition. One-to-one is most powerful when used to fill specific gaps or sharpen exam technique. Around half of my group students take one-to-one sessions alongside, at a discounted member's rate of £100 per hour, because the two formats complement rather than compete. The group builds the framework; one-to-one fills the specific cracks. The group programme is the right starting point for most families. If you want maximum support, layering both is the most effective approach.

Yes. I offer 1:1 tutoring at £100 per hour for students who want additional support beyond the group sessions. Many students in the group add occasional 1:1 sessions before exams or when they need focused help on a specific topic. This is a discounted rate available only to group members. 

The core A-Level Maths content is very similar across all exam boards. The group follows the Edexcel structure, but students on other boards will cover the same topics. I'm happy to discuss any board-specific differences with you.

Yes — directly. Many schools set a Transition Test early in the autumn term, and the opening weeks of the group secure exactly the topics those tests draw on: surds, indices, completing the square, the discriminant, graph transformations. The deeper value is what comes after — staying ahead of the school’s pace for the rest of the year.

Students can join while places remain, and every session is recorded, so a later joiner can catch up on anything they’ve missed. But the programme is designed to be joined at the start: beginning the course on solid foundations is the whole point, and it is the one advantage that cannot be recreated later in the year.
